Under the theme #ShareFactsonDrugs #SaveLives, the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) Special Event will commemorate the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, observed every year on June 26, and launch the UNODC 2021 World Drug Report.
The theme of the 2021 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking aims at combating misinformation and promotes sharing the facts on drugs — from health risks and solutions to tackle the world drug problem, to evidence-based prevention, treatment, and care.
Presented in five separate booklets, the World Drug Report 2021 provides a wealth of information and analysis to support the international community in implementing operational recommendations on a number of drug policies issues, including in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The special event will be held Friday June 25th at 1:30 PM Vienna time/7:30 AM EDT in a hybrid format, and webcast at cnd.unodc.org.
