This issue brief presents an overview of trends in substance use disorder treatment between 2015 and 2018 using data from two national surveys. Overall, results suggest increases in the delivery of substance use disorder treatment provided in private doctor's offices and specialty outpatient settings, and the delivery of medication assisted treatment. However, rates of unmet need for substance use disorder remain very high.
